Matthew William Hedding

Matthew is a Senior Manager in our Banking & Capital Markets Group in London and is a member of our Algorithm Assurance team.

Matthew is a qualified chartered accounted (CA SA) with over 8 years of experience in audit and assurance services to clients in the Financial Services sector. For the past 3 years, Matthew has provided support to the controls and supervision team of a significant global banking institution with respect to their Global Markets remediation activity and enhancement of their Algorithmic Trading Control Framework including:

• MiFID II Compliance - Performance of Real Time Monitoring of trade alerts and co-ordinating the Annual Self-Assessment
• Implementation of global change management process and targeted code review focusing on conduct risk
• Improving Second Line of Defence oversight throughout the framework
• Maintenance, improvement and standardisation of policies,documentation and inventories
