Matt is a Tax Partner in Deloitte's Gi3 practice and leads the Regional Tax Depreciation team and also the Research and Development practice in Central Belt (Scotland).
Matt is qualified both as a quantity surveyor and a tax practitioner with over 20 years of experience advising clients in the areas of Capital Allowances and other tax incentives.
The main focus of the Gi3 practice is to assist clients in optimising the wide range of incentives that are available to them through the UK Tax and Grants regimes. Matt's experience is across various sectors but he has particularly strong credentials in the Infrastructure sector (specifically Ports, Airports and Waste), E&R (Utilities, Oil & Gas & Renewables) and Real Estate.
Matt has significant experience negotiating with HMRC.
