Kathie Haunton

Kathie is a Partner within the Innovation Tax Services group of our Gi³ practice based in Manchester. She has more than 10 years’ experience advising clients on R&D tax issues.

Her experience within the Deloitte audit practice has given her a broad insight into the accounting and costing systems of companies, whilst her specialisation in corporation tax has led to an understanding of the HMRC’s approach and interpretation of the legislation. This wide range of experience enables her to assist clients with all aspects of their R&D claims, including detailed and complex HMRC enquiries and negotiations. Kathie is one of the key technical leads within the Deloitte Innovation tax team and is a member of the HMRC R&D Consultative Committee.

Kathie has assisted a variety of companies with their R&D claims from start-ups to large companies. She has worked with companies across a wider range of business sectors including bio-tech and life sciences, food and consumer business, information technology, consultancy and manufacturing.

Kathie has a degree in Material Science and Technology and a PhD in Polymer Science from Brunel University.
