James Penn has more than 10 years’ experience designing and implementing numerical models and data analysis. He has developed open-source climate models and carried out research with climate scientists at the UK MetOffice and academic institutions around the world.
James recently acquired a PhD in mathematical modelling from the University of Exeter, specialising in climate modelling and geophysical fluid dynamics. Prior to that he spent six years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in electronic foreign exchange trading where he built and ran real-time pricing and risk management systems.
