Edward McNamara

Edward is an Associate Director in Deloitte’s Client Assets & Safeguarding team, spearheading the Safeguarding audit program. He has over 20 years' experience at Deloitte working within the audit and assurance practice, exclusively on the financial services industry.

Edward has led Deloitte’s safeguarding ISAE3000 assurance engagements, FCA CASS audits, CASS advisory engagements and financial statement audits, across banking, capital markets, wealth management and the payments sector.

He is part of Deloitte liaison team, regarding CASS and Safeguarding to the FCA, ICAEW and FRC.

Edward is experienced in the evaluation of controls to identify gaps and deficiencies, as well as reviewing firms' risk and control framework's, governance arrangements and policy documents for potential non-compliance.

He is a key part of the engagement quality team across Safeguarding and CASS engagements and more broadly as part of the firm’s internal quality assurance processes.
