Clare Donaldson

Clare is a Partner in our specialist Tax Depreciation group, part of our Gi³ practice in London.

Her core focus is providing tax advice to privately owned groups, including private equity backed businesses, on opportunities to secure tax savings and enhanced reliefs in relation to capital expenditure. Her client base includes businesses operating in the Infrastructure, Real Estate, Licensed Retail and Retail sectors.

Clare provides advice at all stages of the investment lifecycle; from transactional support and due diligence advice on acquisition and exit, through to detailed reviews of construction, fit-out and refurbishment projects. Increasingly, the latter involves the implementation of bespoke software solutions. Throughout, Clare focusses on reducing the after-tax cost of capital investments, whilst reflecting wider tax and commercial considerations.

Clare obtained an LLB (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the ICAEW.
