Women at the wheel Industry study 2025

Discover key challenges faced by women in the industry and proposed mitigations 

Women at the Wheel has been leading with purpose to drive diversity, equity and inclusion across the automotive industry in the UK since 2017. Membership with us welcomes you to a variety of free events, both virtual and on-site, throughout the year to drive positive change for the automotive landscape. We believe in full and inclusive participation regardless of gender - everyone is welcome to contribute to the work we do and participate in the events we host.

Together, we will:

  • Inspire a diverse community of successful professionals to continue in the industry while reaching their full potential, including senior leadership if that’s the goal.
  • Strengthen our careers through coaching, learning opportunities and role model stories.
  • Collaborate across individuals and organisations to support each other while driving positive industry change.

Professionals from over 200 companies are now taking part in Women at the Wheel and we’d love to have you join us.

Not based in the UK? Women at the Wheel is going global with presence in Germany, Japan, Canada – and more countries on the horizon.

Navigating AI Disruption in Automotive: Insights, Challenges, and Practical Strategies for Women

The automotive industry is undergoing a transformative shift, with artificial intelligence (AI) driving unprecedented disruption. Insights from our recent Women at the Wheel study reveal that while awareness of these changes is high, many professionals, especially women, feel underrepresented in leadership roles and unprepared for the rapid pace of transformation. 

This event will deliver expert perspectives on the opportunities and challenges AI presents and share practical strategies to help women and organisations confidently navigate this evolving landscape.
