Jason (he/they) is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Specialist Lead at Human Capital Consulting in the Netherlands, with more than 10 years of experience in organisational change. They are a creative, enthusiastic team player with strong communication and facilitation skills. In their work, Jason advises organisations how to embed inclusion and equity practices to unlock diversity in teams and coaches leaders in what they can do to behave inclusively in their daily practices.
Typical projects involve topics like Inclusive Leadership, Current State Assessment for DEI in organisations and Training/Awareness Sessions. Leading the Inclusive Leadership proposition in the Netherlands, this program for (sr.) leadership helps assess how inclusive leaders are perceived by themselves and their work environment in a 360 degrees online assessment. The personal coaching sessions are the most insightful and powerful part of this journey. Using the scientifically based ‘Six Signature Traits of Inclusive Leadership’, leaders identify strength and growth areas and define personal actions with the coach that can be implemented immediately.

Born out of a Chinese-Surinamese-Dutch family Jason, food has always played an important part in his life. Whether it is cooking together with his partner Peter at home, or enjoying food together with friends. Becoming a father in a rainbow family is one of the highlights of his life and encourages the work Jason does in the DEI field even more to live his personal purpose to make sure that no one has to have the feeling that they are alone.
Up until recently starting a family seemed impossible, simply because there was no representation of co-parenthood examples. The new mantra and message Jason wants to spread is:
“Just because you do not see it, does not mean that it is not possible.”
Besides their work as a consultant, Jason is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce D&I Committee, Trusted Advisor for the LGBTQ+ ‘Proud Network’ and is currently a PhD candidate at the Tilburg University with their research focused on workplace behaviours and inclusion/exclusion.
