Near-term targets (from a 2019 base year):

• Reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 70% by 2030.
• Reduce scope 3 GHG emissions from business travel 55% per full-time equivalent employee by 2030.
• Engage with our suppliers, covering purchased goods & services and business travel, to have 67% by emissions set science-based targets by 2025. As this target has expired, we are waiting for Deloitte Global to set a new target in line with SBTi guidance.

Long-term target:

• Reduce absolute scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions 90% by 2040 (from a 2019 base year).

By 2030:

• Source 100% renewable electricity for our buildings by 2030.
• Convert 100% of our fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles by 2030, as we transition towards a fully electric fleet.

To ensure we're turning ambition into action, Deloitte's Net-Zero Transition Plan (the Plan) comprises the key focus areas that will drive this transition. It sets out the steps being taken across the network to strengthen our governance, empower our people, reduce our environmental impact, and collaborate for a low-carbon economy. Underpinning this plan is a detailed action framework for each of the focus areas. The strategy and direction is global; the implementation and progress is local.

These areas stem from our net-zero transition plan:

• Supply chain – Integrate sustainability into our buying behaviour and engage our suppliers to embed sustainability in their operations and offering.
• Buildings – Enhance sustainable facilities (energy, waste), including real estate, sustainable renovations, and emissions from working from home.
• Technology – Work together with suppliers to make our IT sustainable – from hardware to data, software and AI.
• Travel & Mobility – Make business travel and commuting more sustainable through carbon budgets, policies, and aligning employee benefits.
• Engage our ecosystem – Collaborate with suppliers, alliance partners and industry groups to drive collective action towards a low-carbon economy.
