“Challenges and constraints are often at the heart of innovations that end up changing the world. We consider ourselves lucky to be able to support and encourage the entrepreneurial minds of tomorrow.”

A sustainable future includes ensuring that the next generation has the skills and technical abilities needed to adapt to the rapidly changing labor market. It also means inspiring leaders to shape the future labor market itself.
To that end, and within the goals of our WorldClass initiative, Deloitte Luxembourg has been working closely with Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg (JEL), a local NGO designed to encourage entrepreneurialism among students. Deloitte has supported JEL since 2018, becoming increasingly involved in JEL’s My First Enterprise, a friendly business competition designed to give students a hands-on understanding of the challenges in business management.
Working within tight timelines and operating constraints, My First Enterprise tasks young students to strengthen skills in teamwork, project management, and communication as they work to bring their product, service, or production activities to market. Deloitte practitioners served as mentors throughout the challenge.
The competition’s finale was held once again at Deloitte Luxembourg. Participating teams showcased their work to juries composed of our own, and other, business professionals. The most promising business ideas were then recognized in an award ceremony:
This year, our business mentorship reached 218 students in total.
