The first workshop of NextGen CIO Academy – Cohort 2 brought together 20+ emerging technology leaders in Bengaluru to prepare the next generation of CIOs to lead beyond technology delivery and become strategic business leaders. Focused on enterprise strategy, innovation, talent, and business leadership, the workshop equipped participants with the capabilities needed to drive transformation alongside the C-suite. Participants also received a curated NextGen CIO Academy brochure outlining the program's vision, leadership, and journey, along with a dedicated workbook to capture insights and reflections throughout the workshop.
Day 1 explored the evolving CIO mandate, with Deepa Seshadri opening the workshop on the changing role of the CIO in the digital enterprise.
Day 2 combined immersive learning with practical application.
The second workshop of NextGen CIO Academy – Cohort 2 brought together 20+ emerging technology leaders at the Deloitte Knowledge Centre (DKC), Mumbai, for a two-day immersive experience focused on leading beyond technology. Through keynotes, fireside chats, and panel discussions, participants strengthened the storytelling, personal branding, and business acumen needed to shape enterprise strategy and influence the C-suite.
Day 1 opened with Deepa Seshadri and Debasish Mishra, who explored the evolving leadership mandate for CIOs. A masterclass by Yuki Ellias equipped participants with practical storytelling and personal branding techniques, while Nitin Kini shared insights on AI adoption, operational excellence, and enterprise-wide alignment.
Day 2 shifted the focus to customer-led growth and boardroom influence. A fireside chat featuring Prajakta Tajvelkar, moderated by Anuradha Gupta, explored the convergence of technology, marketing, and business strategy. This was followed by a boardroom panel with Mrugank Pranjape and Priya Subbaraman, moderated by Deepti Berera, on leading transformation with measurable business impact. The workshop concluded with a graduation ceremony, celebrating the cohort's learning journey and leadership growth.
The inaugural workshop of the NextGen CIO Academy – Cohort 1 brought together emerging technology leaders for a two-day immersive experience focused on the transition from IT leader to business leader. Centered on leadership, strategy, and enterprise transformation, the program equipped participants with the skills to lead beyond technology. Participants also received a curated program brochure, workbook, and welcome giveaways.
Day 1 explored the evolving CIO mandate, with insights from Sathish Gopalaiah, followed by sessions from Abhrajit Ray and Anjali (US CIO Program) on leading with influence. A panel featuring Madhavi Kanumoory, Kopal Sarin Raj, and Nandakishor Dhomne examined stakeholder influence, while S. Anjani Kumar highlighted how technology strategy can accelerate business outcomes.
Day 2 focused on strengthening business acumen through the CFO lens. Pallav Chaturvedi explored the evolving CFO mandate and the role of storytelling in leadership, while Sridhar T.K., CFO, ABB India, shared perspectives on evaluating technology investments as drivers of enterprise value. The workshop concluded with discussions on strengthening CIO–CFO collaboration to deliver measurable business impact.

Focused on executive presence, storytelling, and personal branding, the workshop equipped future CIOs to communicate with influence and lead with confidence.
Day 1 featured immersive sessions on storytelling for strategic impact and building an authentic personal brand. Through expert guidance and practical exercises, participants learned to transform complex ideas into compelling narratives, strengthen their leadership presence, and apply storytelling to influence enterprise-wide decisions.
Day 2 celebrated the cohort's transformation with a graduation ceremony recognizing their commitment to learning and growth. As they completed the program, participants left with stronger peer networks, greater confidence, and the leadership capabilities to shape business strategy and drive meaningful transformation.
