Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021

Do your part. #BeCyberSmart

The Deloitte 2021 Future of Cyber Survey, conducted by both Deloitte and Wakefield Research, polled nearly 600 C-level executives about cybersecurity at companies with at least $500 million in annual revenue including nearly 200 CISOs, 100 CIOs, 100 CEOs, 100 CFOs, and 100 CMOs using an online survey.

Cybersecurity awareness month

Cybersecurity is not just a technology risk, that only CIOs, CISOs or CEOs need to be concerned about, but a business risk that impacts the entire ecosystem. To spread awareness about the risks in the world of Cyber and how to tackle them, October has been recognised as Cybersecurity Awareness Month. At Deloitte India’s Risk Advisory, we aim to take this opportunity to help our stakeholders learn how to reduce their cybersecurity risks and protect themselves online. Together we can combat this wave of cyberattacks and vulnerability with a movement of cyber awareness.

Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility—one in which businesses, governments and society all have a role to play. The overarching theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021 is ‘Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.’ The theme empowers individuals and organisations to own their role in protecting their part of cyberspace.

During our month-long campaign, we will feature events, thought leadership, and key insights that will help you kickstart your Cyber conversation today.

    Deloitte Women in Cyber

Through our yearlong series, we are excited to show you some of the #DeloitteWomenInCyber and what they do. Through this campaign, we aim to encourage more women to enter this field. We need more like us. We need more like you.

Do your part. #BeCyberSmart. Understand your social responsibility.

We all have a role to play in upholding a cyber-aware society. To foster a culture of cyber awareness and accountability, organisations need to empower individuals, especially vulnerable users, who could be easy prey for attack vectors. Organisations need to spread awareness and propagate safe internet browsing amongst children, the youth, the elderly and the underprivileged. We need to create a digital society that can reap the benefits of technology without its pitfalls.

Stay tuned to our handles for upcoming activities on initiating the chain of cyber awareness and empowerment.
