We recently observed “Global Accessibility Awareness Day,” shedding light on the imperative of being inclusive towards alternative accessibility requirements for people with visible and invisible disabilities. A standout moment was the "Trust Walk," where participants experienced first-hand how it feels to rely on others to navigate around.
The day highlighted the powerful impact of both human assistance and advanced technology in supporting individuals with disabilities. From tools for people with visual impairment to resources for those with hearing impairments, we expanded our knowledge on fostering a more inclusive environment.
It’s all about moving the needle to enable everyone to unleash their full potential.
We recently had the honour of hosting two powerhouses from the queer community. Through riveting and interactive sessions, we broadened our horizons of allyship.
Our session with the track and field athlete, national champion, and Olympian, Dutee Chand, was simply amazing. Dutee shared her incredible journey from humble beginnings in a small village to making our country proud on various international sports stages. She bravely opened up about her coming out as queer, discussing the challenges, social stigma, and societal biases she faced to stand proud as an LGBTQIA+ icon. Her resilience and courage reminded us that being your authentic self is a superpower.
Sophia David, a renowned TEDx speaker, passionate about gender equality, and one of our colleagues in Deloitte India, enlightened us on the diverse world of LGBTQIA+ voices, identities, and experiences. Sophia addressed prevalent biases and misconceptions, sharing invaluable insights into how we can all contribute to a more inclusive and supportive environment.
