National, 23 September 2026: Deloitte India and CAST have announced a strategic alliance to jointly support AI-led enterprise application modernisation and technology portfolio optimisation across Asia-Pacific and Japan. The collaboration will combine Deloitte’s consulting, engineering and transformation capabilities with CAST’s software mapping and intelligence technology to help organisations make faster, better-informed decisions across complex application environments.
The alliance is in response to a growing challenge for enterprises pursuing AI adoption, cloud migration, M&A integration and large-scale modernisation. Application estates built over years of acquisitions, business changes and decentralised technology investments often contain hidden dependencies, duplicated capabilities and accumulated technical debt. Without a clear view of how systems are structured and connected, transformation programmes can face longer discovery cycles, higher delivery risk and uncertainty around where to invest first.
“Enterprise transformation today is no longer about AI, cloud or modernisation in isolation. Organisations must navigate all three priorities simultaneously, often across complex application landscapes built over many years. Deloitte’s focus is to help clients bridge the gap between strategy and execution, enabling faster innovation, greater operational efficiency and tangible business outcomes in the fast-paced business world. Through our strategic alliance with CAST, we are bringing software intelligence to the forefront of transformation, helping clients gain deeper visibility into their technology estate, reduce modernisation risk and accelerate value realisation from their digital and AI investments.”
Debasish Chatterjee, Partner and Software Engineering leader, Deloitte India
CAST will provide software intelligence across application portfolios, including architecture, dependencies, technical debt, open-source risk and modernisation complexity. These insights are intended to give delivery teams a fact-based foundation for planning transformation programmes, assessing the readiness of existing applications for infusing AU functionality and agentic workflows, as well as accelerating project delivery.
By combining software intelligence with AI-led delivery, Deloitte and CAST will help clients unlock greater value from brownfield modernisation initiatives through more accurate application insights, optimised AI consumption and lower-risk adoption of agentic engineering.
The joint offering will support a range of enterprise priorities.
“Context matters as much as the model when it comes to AI working on existing code. Agent accuracy tends to be quite low in brownfield applications because AI lacks specific knowledge of its dependencies and transaction flows. This results in rework and token burn. But when AI is equipped with deterministic context from CAST, clients have measured and reported to us 2x increases in accuracy and significant drops in token usage.”
Marc Zablit, EVP Business Development and Global Partnerships, CAST,
CAST will provide Deloitte teams with access to its software intelligence platforms, assessment outputs, architecture and dependency insights, training and enablement materials. Deloitte will apply these capabilities within client engagements and develop use-case playbooks for areas including technology due diligence, application (legacy, mainframe) modernisation, cloud transformation, AI readiness and managed services.
The alliance will focus on joint client opportunities across Asia-Pacific. Deloitte and CAST also plan to develop assessment environments, proof-of-value engagements and industry-specific solution accelerators, supported by joint market activity and client workshops.
Over time, the alliance intends to embed software intelligence more deeply into transformation programmes and create reusable methods for portfolio rationalisation, engineering modernisation and AI adoption. The broader ambition is to help enterprises replace assumptions about complex technology estates with evidence drawn directly from their applications, improving predictability while reducing transformation risk and cost.
