My current assignment as part of Deloitte India is the most interesting part of my professional journey yet. The rapid pace at which AI and data have grown over the last few years means that I have also had to be equally agile and flexible to grow with it. It has been extremely challenging and rewarding to lead teams working on cutting-edge technologies, such as Generative AI, as it involved not only upskilling oneself but also learning with others to build the community. Over the last year, my role has expanded from purely being delivery-driven to including strategies involving new technologies and the value they bring to clients, go-to-market activities, eminence, and various other initiatives to scale up this branch of Data Science whilst continuing to contribute to other aspects of AI/ML technologies.
As a car enthusiast in my teenage years, I would often pore over automotive magazines analysing which car was best in which segment, combining that with my passion for mathematics and statistics. Therefore, a career in Data Science was a logical choice. Here is what I learnt that added to my experience:
A good quantitative analysis can bring about insights and challenge our assumptions, all of which are extremely important for the future growth and success of any organisation. It really excites me to challenge the status quo.
I have always enjoyed telling stories, and data and AI add weight to creating compelling narratives.
I was part of the “Global Generative AI Market Incubator,” which helped develop cutting-edge Gen AI solutions for clients across the globe. We worked on different projects, across Europe and MENA in various functions and industries across various cloud platforms. I am eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to be one of the early movers to work on such latest technologies and be part of the AI and Gen AI revolution.
