The Indian PE landscape in 2025 reflected confidence in its long-term growth story

The trajectory of India’s PE market shifted meaningfully in 2025. While total activity remained below earlier highs, investors grew more cautious and more assured about their capital deployment, ownership acquisition,
control mechanisms, and exit strategies. Instead of a new surge of activity, as many had anticipated, the year was characterised by careful optimism and heightened selectivity.
