Deloitte highlights women in risk advisory

News Release

A new global awareness and recruitment campaign to inspire women to explore opportunities within the risk advisory field

NEW YORK, NY, USA, 12 April 2022—Deloitte Global Risk Advisory announced today a new global awareness and recruitment campaign to attract more women with diverse skill sets and backgrounds into the risk advisory profession and celebrate a small group of women who imagine new possibilities, connecting trust, resilience, and security to make an impact that matters Deloitte’s Women in Risk Advisory.

While the gender gap in the risk advisory profession continues to shrink, there is still much work to be done to recruit and retain women in the industry. This is especially crucial now, when the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated a global talent shortage and disproportionately affected the female population.

“As organizations seek to navigate this increasingly complex world, risk advisory will play a crucial role in creating future-ready and responsible businesses. At Deloitte, we know diverse perspectives, including those of women, are needed to ensure clients are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow,” says Donna Glass, Deloitte Global Risk Advisory Leader. “As women continue to face barriers to enter certain fields, this campaign intends to dispel the stereotypes around what risk professionals look like, the education they should have, or the skills they should possess. By sharing these stories, Deloitte hopes this campaign will inspire more women to consider a career in the risk advisory field to create a long-term pipeline that will benefit women, Deloitte, and clients across industries.”

Deloitte’s campaign highlights eight women representative of the people who make up the Risk Advisory practices around Deloitte’s global network. They are diverse in their skills, backgrounds, roles, levels of experience and tenure, but one thing is the same – they are all passionate about recruiting and advancing women in the risk advisory field.

“If we can’t see them, we can’t be them – we want these women to be role models to young girls who are showing an interest in STEM, as well as to those women who may be considering a career change. To show them that there is no one traditional career path to or within Risk Advisory,” adds Glass.

Through its WorldClass initiative, Deloitte seeks to prepare the millions of people who are being left behind, in school and work, to fulfill their aspirations and to meet current and future job demands. Deloitte believes it can make the greatest societal impact by enabling its people to apply their core skills, experience, and global reach to empower more people through education, skills development, and access to opportunity. Deloitte’s Women in Risk campaign reinforces the organization’s commitment to gender equality and leading the way on the complex challenges that stand in the way of gender balance in wider society.
