Tim Smith, Principal – Americas Delivery Leader | Deloitte US

Tim is a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP and serves as the Americas Delivery leader, focusing on growing the firm’s client delivery capabilities across the US, Mexico, and LATAM. Americas Delivery brings together nearly 10,000 delivery-focused practitioners in the US and Latin America, with the goal of serving Deloitte’s clients and optimizing delivery-based solutions. Prior to this role, Tim was the National Offering leader for Core Industry Solutions under the Core Business Operations portfolio. 

For nearly 28 years, Tim served as a trusted advisor to senior client executive teams at Deloitte. He has led some of the firm’s largest and most challenging healthcare systems implementations, leveraging packages such as Epic Systems, Cerner, Siemens Soarian, and others. Tim has also supported numerous healthcare clients including Michigan Medicine, Cleveland Clinic, Kaiser Permanente, and many others.

Tim has a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and a B.S. in Economics from Beloit College. He has spoken and contributed to several industry forums including Scottsdale Institute, Epic’s User Group Meeting & other vendor meetings, Deloitte Dbriefs, a Healthcare Informatics video series, and Deloitte’s eBook “The Innovator Hospital.” Tim has also authored many papers, recorded podcasts, and published other media focused on healthcare technology innovations. In his free time, Tim serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota and teaches healthcare technology concepts to graduate students seeking to achieve their master’s in Health Administration.
