EU Tax Policy Leader

Roberta, Deloitte's EU Tax Policy Leader, has 25+ years in International Tax. She served as Finance Counsellor at the Spanish EU Representation and held key roles in the Spanish Tax Administration. With law and business degrees, she's active on several boards, a former professor, and a noted speaker and publication author.

Roberta is the EU Tax Policy Leader at Deloitte, bringing over 25 years of experience in International Tax. Her expertise encompasses both the private and public sectors, where she has held numerous roles. From 2015 to 2017, Roberta served as the Finance Counsellor at the Spanish Permanent Representation to the European Union, focusing on taxation and state aid, and representing Spain in EU negotiations. She also held significant positions within the Spanish Tax Administration, including Director of International Taxation, where she was responsible for legislative proposals and negotiations on double taxation agreements, among other critical tasks. Additionally, Roberta has worked with the European Commission as a seconded national expert in taxation.

Roberta holds degrees in law and business administration and is a State Finance Inspector. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Madrid Bar Association and serves on the boards of the AEDF (Spanish branch of IFA) and WIN (Women in IFA Network). Between 2001 and 2003, she was a professor at Carlos III University. Roberta is a regular speaker at national and international seminars and conferences and has authored numerous publications.
