Digital Transformation Partner, Tax & Legal

Robbie Robertson is the Digital Transformation Lead Partner for Deloitte Tax & Legal in Australia. In this role he leads a diverse team including tax technologists, designers, coders and app developers and strategists who together, form the Digital Tax operations in Australia. Robbie has always had a passion for design, technology & customer experience, specialising in the fusion of people, place & technology.

Working in partnership with the tax and legal specialists, Robbie is leading the conversation with clients on the role technology can play in creating a better experience for their teams within the tax and legal functions, often combining our Alliance partners to create unique solutions.

Prior to his role in Tax and Legal, Robbie was the market leader for Consulting as well as the lead Partner for Deloitte Digital in Sydney, where his primary role was connecting the right team with the needs of clients, specifically looking at how technology can help to innovate, streamline & enhance experiences for both employees & customers.

He is an advocate and staunch proponent for driving high performance through creating truly inclusive workplaces which celebrate diversity and remove the barriers to success for traditionally underrepresented and marginalised groups.

Robbie has been involved in advocacy and support for the LGBT+ community including volunteering for organisations such as London Lighthouse, Terrence Higgins Trust, Prostate Cancer Foundation. More recently he has sat on the board for Wear It Purple and is currently sitting on the AWEI National Advisory Cttee and is also on the board for Rainbow Families. Robbie has held the position of lead partner for Deloitte’s LGBTI+ network and community (StandOUT) which includes serving on the firm’s National Diversity & Inclusion Council for Australia, as well as acting as a special advisor to the APAC firm.

With 23 years of experience, he has worked on multiple global design projects, combining service design with spatial and digital strategies to create omni channel solutions. A key differentiator for Robbie and his team is to bring customers and employees into the heart of the design process to help to rapidly prototype ideas and ensure that the successful ideas turn into robust financially successful concepts.
