Michele Parmelee leads Deloitte’s Consumer Sustainability & Infrastructure practice, advising companies on how to embed sustainability across enterprise strategy, operations, infrastructure, and customer offerings. She advises organizations on their sustainability strategy across their operations and value chains while responding to evolving consumer expectations and regulatory developments—unlocking growth, resilience, and long-term value.
Michele also serves as Deloitte’s US Sustainability Leader, responsible for advancing Deloitte’s sustainability strategy, including our commitment to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040. In this role, she integrates sustainable practices across Deloitte’s operations and culture while driving innovation, thought leadership, and collaboration.
Prior to these roles, Michele was the Deloitte Global Deputy CEO and Chief People & Purpose Officer from June 2015 to May 2023, leading a broad portfolio of programs that enhanced Deloitte’s global brand, reputation, and talent experience. She was also a member of the Deloitte Global Executive Committee.
In her nearly 30 years with Deloitte, Michele has also delivered strategy and operations consulting services to Financial Services clients, was the Secretary of the Deloitte US board of directors, and led the Office of the US Chairman.
Michele serves as a member of the United Way Worldwide Board of Trustees and its Executive Compensation Committee. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of One Young World (US).
Michele has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude with honors from Brown University.
