Diane Howard, PhD, FACHE, is associate professor and chair of the Department of Health Systems Management at Rush University in Chicago. Prior to her academic appointment, she was a hospital, association, and insurance executive. She earned her PhD from the University of Illinois-Chicago, MPH from the University of Pittsburgh, and BA from Hampton Institute. She serves as co-chair of the NAHSE research committee.
