A love of creativity and engineering has shaped a 30-year career spent designing and implementing large and complex digital solutions for clients across multiple industries and geographies. In addition to Sam’s client work, he is the Global Chief Strategy Officer for Deloitte’s consultative businesses, responsible for setting and executing the strategy.

Prior to this role Sam led Deloitte Digital globally, as CEO. Under his leadership, Deloitte Digital cemented it’s position (as assessed by Gartner, Forrester and other independent analysts) as the global leader across a broad set of consumer impacting capabilities (CRM, customer experience, commerce and marketing technology) and established creative leadership in key markets with recognition in the form of rapid revenue growth and multiple awards. With digital technologies becoming ever more ubiquitous and critical to organisational success, Sam’s experience of bringing together capabilities from across Deloitte, and a broader ecosystem, to solve clients’ most pressing business issues with technology infused solutions, serves him well in his role as the Chief Strategy Officer for Consulting.

The client work that Sam shapes and leads is transformational. In recent years he has provided executive leadership for programmes that have enabled consumer brands to drive the exponential growth of their global direct-to-consumer revenue, delivered platforms that enabled traditional retailers to build successful omni-channel businesses, and dramatically increased the market capitalization of two wholly owned subsidiaries in the financial services sector prior to divestment. In the UK, he has worked with public sector organisation to digitized citizen services, simultaneously solving for increased demand (and citizen expectations) and reduced budget.
