Environment

The WorldClimate programme represents our transformation into a sustainable firm with SBTs for reducing our carbon footprint. We are addressing climate change through four key pillars: achieving net-zero emissions, embedding sustainability, empowering individuals and engaging ecosystems. This approach requires holistic thinking and action, making climate thinking central to our operations. We are inspiring and empowering our people to drive change, collaborating with external partners and sharing our experiences with clients. 

Deloitte’s commitment to sustainability is evident through its comprehensive approach to addressing climate change and reducing GHG emissions. The organisation’s global climate strategy, known as the WorldClimate programme, aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, with specific near-term goals set for 2030. These goals are aligned with science-based targets (SBTs), validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to ensure they contribute effectively to limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

Deloitte’s global societal impact initiative, WorldClass, aims to impact on 100 million futures through education, skills development and access to opportunity, thus empowering people to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy. In Finland we want to make efforts to help people to develop job skills, improve educational outcomes and access opportunities to succeed. We invest time into our people, provide volunteering opportunities, and we donate in order to support students, teachers and education leaders. We have several initiatives in Finland that support our WorldClass social impact goals. Our key partnerships are Yrityskylä NYT and Olympiakomitea with whom we are targeting supporting Generation Z to reach their full potential. 

Deloitte Finland’s societal programmes focus on themes related to the future of work, including digital learning, developing critical skills for future workers and investing in educators.
