Five Years of Inspiration and Support: The Fifth Season of the Women’s Mentorship Network Successfully Concluded

7 October 2025

With a final training session and a ceremonial event, the fifth season of the Women’s Mentorship Network—organized by Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo and Deloitte Bosnia and Herzegovina—has come to a close.

Recognized as a leading platform for empowering young professional women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Women’s Mentorship Network successfully celebrated its fifth generation of mentees this year. The program once again brought together 50 young women who, through training sessions, workshops, and mentorship, had the opportunity to develop their professional and leadership skills and build valuable business connections.

This achievement would not have been possible without the long-standing support of the program’s partners, who remain dedicated to the mission of the Women’s Mentorship Network. Their commitment ensured that the fifth season was filled with inspiring encounters, exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the creation of new opportunities for young women across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The implementation of this fifth season was supported by the UNDP, European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), UN Women, OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST), while Forbes magazine served as the media partner of the project.

Program founders Sanela Pašić and Sabina Softić expressed pride in the continuous growth, expanding impact, and recognition of the Women’s Mentorship Network, emphasizing that each new season brings added value and a wider circle of women who support and inspire one another.

“The fifth season of the Women’s Mentorship Network has once again demonstrated how important it is to invest in the development and support of young women. Each new generation brings freshness, energy, and perspectives that change our society for the better, and we are proud to be part of their professional journey. We extend our gratitude to our partner UNDP and to all organizations that recognize the value of this program for their selfless support and inspiration,”

emphasized Sabina Softić, Partner and Managing Director of Deloitte
Bosnia and Herzegovina

“Our mission remains the same—to build a network of support, knowledge, and opportunities for women across Bosnia and Herzegovina. We believe that the mentees from the fifth season will continue to share what they have learned and act as drivers of positive change within their communities and companies. I am proud of every mentee who found motivation, gained new knowledge, and built confidence to take on leadership roles through this program. I would like to thank all mentors, partners, and friends of the program for their continuous support and inspiration. Together, we are building a stronger and more inclusive future for all women in Bosnia and Herzegovina,”

highlighted Sanela Pašić, Member of the Supervisory Board of Addiko Bank Sarajevo and Professor at the University of Sarajevo School of Science and Technology

Support for the fifth, anniversary season of the Women’s Mentorship Network was also extended by Jasmin Spahić, CEO of Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo:

“We are proud that Addiko Bank has, for the fifth consecutive year, served as host and co-organizer of the Women’s Mentorship Network program, which has become a symbol of support, empowerment, and professional development for young women in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In a time when inclusivity is key to sustainable social and economic development, the Women’s Mentorship Network shows how concrete support can bring about real change. I would like to thank all partners, mentors, and organizers who contributed to the success of this fifth season. Addiko Bank will continue to be a strong ally in creating opportunities for women, as we believe that investing in their potential means investing in a better future for all,”

stated Spahić.

Renaud Meyer, UNDP Resident Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasized the importance of empowering women through initiatives such as this one:

“The latest UNDP Human Development Report shows that more women than men in Bosnia and Herzegovina are enrolled in tertiary education. Yet, women earn only 53.7% of men’s income and remain significantly underrepresented in the labor market. Closing this gap is a responsibility shared by all of us—authorities, public institutions, the private sector, and civil society—with the support of international organizations. As an organization that embodies and promotes a culture of gender equality, we are proud of our role in fostering partnerships that advance equality and empower women and girls in Bosnia and Herzegovina and around the world. Through initiatives like the Women’s Mentorship Network, the Women’s Development Forum, and the Gender Equality Seal, UNDP helps turn education into opportunity, advocates for equal pay for equal work, and promotes a feminist economy that benefits everyone,”

stated Meyer.

During the closing ceremony, certificates of appreciation were presented to mentors, and certificates of completion were awarded to mentees who successfully completed the program.

Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo and Deloitte Bosnia and Herzegovina extend their gratitude to all partners, sponsors, and mentors for their continuous support and contribution to strengthening the Women’s Mentorship Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina—with the message:

“Together, we continue to build a society of equal opportunities and empowered women.”
