Barbara Žibret Kralj

Barbara is a Partner in the Audit and Assurance business at Deloitte CE and serves as the Global Assurance Chief Deployment Officer. She currently holds the position of Country Managing Partner (Country Leader) at Deloitte Slovenia for her second term.

In her Country Managing role, she is accountable for overall management, building business, and managing the team, resources, and client relationships. She leverages her extensive experience in cultivating strong relationships. She is the Lead Client Service Partner (LCSP) for some regional Priority accounts. As an A&A Partner and LCSP (on Audit and Advisory accounts), she is accountable for strategic planning, overall management, supervision, quality control, and service delivery. Primarily, she focuses on clients operating in the financial services industry, mainly the insurance sectors, as well as public interest entities. Barbara specializes in assurance services and auditing and overall management, boasting over 20 years of experience at both international and domestic firms.

As a registered Certified Auditor and professional in the field of Finance, Reporting, and Internal Controls, she regularly delivers lectures at the Slovenian Institute of Auditors and the Faculty of Economics and conferences where she shares knowledge with the business community, particularly in emerging areas (ESG, reporting complexity, ...). Additionally, Barbara oversees various Partner development programs at Deloitte, including the Deloitte Leadership Development programs, PADC, and regularly serves as a Panelist member for assessing new Partner admissions in Deloitte CE.

Barbara is building Deloitte eminence in the market through various leading and funding activities such as CFO and CEO Clubs and Deloitte SheXO Club. In 2023, she spearheaded Deloitte Slovenia's involvement in Chapter Zero Slovenia for Climate and Sustainability and forged a partnership between Deloitte Slovenia and the Slovenian Board of Directors Association to enhance diversity in corporate boards. Barbara has been consistently recognized as a prominent businesswoman by the leading Slovenian Finance Magazine over multiple years.
