Analisa Low, Deloitte Trinidad

Current position: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to the People's Republic of China

Analisa joined Deloitte in 2014 and worked in both the consulting and audit service lines, providing advisory services for clients in various industries - namely energy, education, manufacturing, and public security. Following her time at Deloitte, she then served at the Ministry of National Security, coordinating bilateral security arrangements and policy initiatives with international partners, to strengthen the national defense, protective, and law enforcement bodies of Trinidad and Tobago.

Analisa is a graduate of University College London (U.K.) with a Master of Science in Global Governance and Ethics and holds a BA (Hons.) in Political Science and International Studies from Queen’s University in Canada. She also studied French at the Sorbonne University in Paris and holds certifications in Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese.

Analisa shares “I will always be eternally grateful for my time at Deloitte which really crafted my career trajectory and my overall outlook on life, which is to always be an agent of change and to create a positive impact, whether big or small. While at Deloitte, I had a lot of freedom and agency to design interesting projects that were valuable and impactful to society. These projects encouraged me to find innovative solutions to complex problems, the importance of understanding ‘business chemistry’, and to think critically. These skills have become part of the arsenal of tools in my professional life that I continue to use daily.

I think that one of the aspects I truly enjoyed in my early career journey was being able to engage and advise a broad spectrum of clients which included NGOs, government and multilateral agencies, business chambers, multinational corporations, and vulnerable communities. This allowed me to not only communicate with different people across borders and sectors, but even more importantly, to understand what drives certain perspectives– something that I truly enjoy to this day, especially in diplomatic exchange.

I would encourage anyone to embrace every challenge, whether personal or professional, and use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop new skills in preparation for the next opportunity that you may encounter.”
