Sustainable Reward and Work
The spotlight is on the Reward Strategy from an ESG perspective and extending the sustainability focus to work, workforce, and work environment to create a social enterprise. The goal is to align organisational structure and governance mechanisms to embed sustainability in business processes and priorities. This includes planning a sustainable workforce, developing talent strategy, training, upskilling, and reskilling the workforce, redefining employee experience, and supporting organisations to build safe and inclusive work environments in which employees can flourish and that maximise productivity. Valuing not only environmental sustainability, but designing the work, workforce and work environment for human sustainability will be critical in the Just transition.
Sustainable Reward is about responsible reward. It is for example about setting the right ESG KPI’s to incentivise executives and managers, ensuring fair gender pay, and it is about a green reward strategy where employee well-being and the impact on society is central.
