Meet Ameera Khan, Data & AI Senior Consultant

So, tell us about a day in the life … 

My day typically starts project team stand-ups and listing my priorities for the day (this really helps me stay organised!).

I spend a lot of time developing data management strategies, where I work closely with clients to understand their challenges and help them build a course of action to optimise value from their data assets. A key part of this is conducting workshops and consultations to identify challenges and opportunities to build actionable solutions. My day is typically split between facilitating workshops and analysing data to co-design strategic plans and delivery initiatives. 

Finally, I wrap up my day by FaceTiming my family and treating myself to a good meal and juicy TV show (and occasionally a hot relaxing bath).

Outside of work, I love being outdoors. You’ll mostly find me exploring new cafés and rooftop bars or enjoying sunsets by the beach (my prime reason for moving to Australia!).

As part of my role within the Data & AI consulting team, I get exposure to a diverse range of client sectors and industries. Every day I come across different data and analytics complexities – which means no two engagements are the same.

Movie Recommendation – ‘Lion’ (highly recommend adding this one to your watchlist!).

Podcast recommendation – ‘On Purpose’ by Jay Shetty (covers some super insightful mental health tips) … and I typically tune in to ‘Hub and Spoken’ by Cynosure on my way to work to get my dose of data and analytics trends! 

Song recommendation – I listen to a diverse range of genres, but I love acoustic covers. The Violin remix of ‘All of Me’ by John Legend is my recent favourite but if I am in a dance-y mood my go to is ‘Let the music play’ by Shamur. You cannot listen to this one without tapping your feet!
