Deloitte Africa wins the 2020 Amazon Web Services Rising Star Partner of the Year award
Johannesburg, 2 March 2021 – Deloitte has been named the 2020 winner of the APN Rising Star Partner of the Year award by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The award recognises the investment that Deloitte Africa has put into nurturing its relationship with AWS, and its commitment in helping customers take full advantage of the business benefits that AWS has to offer.

The collaboration with AWS builds on an existing relationship based on continued cooperation between both organisations. Together, the companies are providing end-to-end Cloud services, including a Cloud management portfolio that will give enterprise customers fast and flexible access to the Cloud.

Deloitte was selected for this accolade based on its immense growth as an APN partner in South Africa, since concluding the extension of the SPP agreement with AWS towards the end of 2019. The firm has achieved more than 40 certifications in AWS in this period, and most recently accomplished the successful launch of a key serverless application at a JSE-listed telecommunications client that migrated four of its own datacentres onto the AWS cloud. This was due to a strong business case presented by Deloitte, and industry-proven expertise to help clients achieve business outcomes previously unimaginable.
