Deloitte Africa announces Alice Tembo as its Zambia Country Managing Partner

Deloitte Africa has announced Alice Tembo as Country Managing Partner for its Zambia office, taking the reigns from Humphrey Mulenga effective 1 July 2026. 

She is a seasoned leader who has held various leadership positions within Zambia and across Deloitte Africa, and she has played a critical role in building the Audit & Assurance business in Zambia. Alice holds an MBA in Business Administration in addition to being a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the Copperbelt University.

Alice, a Chartered Accountant, has been with the Firm for 28 years, becoming Deloitte Zambia’s first female partner in May 2005, now becoming the first female Managing Partner for the Firm.  Prior to being appointed as Country Managing Partner for Deloitte Africa in Zambia, Alice served as Business Unit Leader for the Audit & Assurance business, a role she has been in for the past nine years. 

In June 2017, Deloitte in Africa integrated into one firm forming Deloitte Africa, and Alice was appointed to the Deloitte Africa board where she served for seven years. Alice is an experienced board and board committee member having served on various boards and committees including the Central Bank of Zambia, University of Zambia, The Examination Council of Zambia and Zambia Centre of Accountancy Studies.
