Wessel de Jager

Wessel joined Deloitte in January 2023 and is an experienced restructuring professional with a passion for developing and implementing turnaround and restructuring solutions for challenged and financially distressed corporates.​

Relevant experience:​

• 2002 – 2022: Responsible for the management of portfolios of distressed corporate and investment banking exposures across large South African lenders with a view to facilitating remediation through early intervention, client management, board, shareholder, and multi-lender engagement.  ​
• 2010 – 2012: Responsible for the management of distressed investment banking and private equity exposures in selected African jurisdictions, across East, Central and West Africa. ​

Academic qualifications:​

• Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Accounting and Finance (Stellenbosch University)​
• Certified Rescue Analyst certification (Pretoria University)​
• South African Restructuring and Insolvency Association accredited Business Restructuring Professional.
