Thys is the Digital Financial Services lead in Core Business operations, Consulting Africa. With over 25 years of experience, Thys has worked extensively in designing and implementing Banking and Insurance Solutions. His project experience includes leading a fully integrated cloud based bank, leading a Corporate Implementation programme from technical design to implementation, including a corporate platform, full payment solution integrated into various payment channels, related interfaces and a fully outsourced Data Centre. Furthermore, Thys managed a number of multi-disciplinary projects and has gained significant knowledge from developing strategy to implementation across multiple countries in Africa and Europe.
Thys’ area of expertise lie in the areas of strategy and planning, operations excellence, strategic programme and cost management, business process re-engineering and cloud solution and integration architecture. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Economics from North West University and a Master of Commerce degree from the University of Johannesburg.
