Susan joined Deloitte during 2017 and is part of the team, which focusses on Treasury and Regulatory Advisory engagements. Prior to joining Deloitte, she has worked in the banking industry and has more than 11 years of financial risk management experience spanning several disciplines. The disciplines include aspects such as review, design and implementation of processes and models to support risk analytics, economic and regulatory capital measurement and reporting, as well as matters such as governance and controls. Her knowledge of risk management models coupled with experience with risk infrastructure enables her to challenge the integrity of risk and treasury systems.
Since 2019, Susan has been building up the Interest Rate Benchmark (aka Reference Rate Reform/(L)IBOR reform) Community of Practice for the African Firm, bringing subject matter specialists across various disciplines together in order to have a comprehensive offering ready to address clients’ needs during the international and local reforms.
