Pieter’s core capabilities are centered around Indirect Tax (Customs and Excise) risk and compliance management, opinion-writing, interpretation of related legislation, development of operating processes and procedures and ensuring continuous improvement of such.
Pieter has gained his experience in this field during his career of more than 25 years with the South African Revenue Service (SARS), the last 8 years of which he was the SARS National Excise Specialist, and with Deloitte & Touche for the past 4 years.
Pieter’s skill-set also include Consulting, Process (gap) Analysis and Evaluation, Best Practice Research, Best Fit Process Development and Process Implementation Planning.
