Nonceba is a Programme Director at Grindstone, where she leads the dynamic GrindstoneX accelerator program in collaboration with Naspers Labs, with a special focus on empowering women entrepreneurs. With her previous experience in fostering entrepreneurship and supporting intermediary organisations across Southern Africa and globally, she brings invaluable insights to her support to entrepreneurs.
In her current capacity, Nonceba leads the advancement of technology and technology-enabled startups throughout South Africa. Leveraging her extensive network of entrepreneurship support organisations and skilled experts, she provides guidance and mentorship to these entrepreneurs, helping them navigate the challenges of the competitive business landscape and become market access and funding ready.
Passionate about creating inclusive environments within entrepreneurial ecosystems, Nonceba is particularly committed to strengthening township economies and bridging the gender gap. Her firm belief in impact-driven interventions has, in the past, led her to collaborate with esteemed organisations such as the British Council, Social Value UK, and Allan Gray Orbis Foundation among others. Together, they developed and implemented novel Impact Measurement and Management Learning Labs and resources, both regionally and globally.
Nonceba's dedication to impact measurement extends beyond collaboration. She co-authored a chapter in the influential book "Generation Impact: International Perspectives on Impact Accounting," showcasing her expertise and contributing to the field's advancement. Additionally, her experience within the SADC banking sector, including her work with the Banking Association of South Africa, has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Notably, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Centre of Excellence in Financial Services, an initiative supported by the South African banking industry.
