Diane Kelway

Diane is part of the Financial Services Advisory division of Deloitte in South Africa. Diane has worked in the financial services sector for most of her career of over 25 years. She has led and driven complex and new projects across different areas of business, be it regulatory, reporting or go-to market related initiatives.

She has also focused on understanding and assessing the impact of emerging regulations on the insurance and banking industry, resulting in the execution of large projects across the business, key examples being Solvency II ORSA, Basel II AMA and Recovery Plans. In support of these large initiatives, Diane has delivered Board and senior management committee level integrated risk and regulatory programmes. She has a particular liking to creating structure out of complexity and can engage at with all levels of the business and working with large corporate risk, compliance, regulatory, and governance teams to achieve positive outcomes.

Since joining Deloitte in their ESG team, Diane has completed an ESG secondment at a Bank. This included assisting the Bank with their formal ESG disclosures (TCFD and PRB), alignment of the Bank’s financing of sensitive sector standards, review of ESG policies and initial drafting of their rating agency submissions (S&P CSA, CDP). Diane has also worked on ORSA projects and more recently analysing the Prudential Authority Guidance notes on Climate risk practices.
