Anna Marks

Anna Marks is Chair of the Deloitte Global Board of Directors.

She is renowned for her energetic approach and dedication to driving resilient and responsible growth and positive societal impact through effective governance, collaboration and ethical leadership.

Since becoming Deloitte Global Chair in June 2023, Anna has driven a focused and strategic Board agenda.  She leads the Deloitte Global Board in overseeing the most significant matters to the organisation, thereby enabling its success and protecting its resilience.

Anna is passionate about the role of boards in building trust and resilience in a changing world - by providing constructive oversight and collaborating across ecosystems to create long-term value. She speaks and writes on topics including the evolution of governance and organisational resilience, effective AI governance, leadership, and inclusion.

Anna’s focus on social impact originated in her early career in the UK social services sector supporting families with children with learning disabilities, before her transition to professional services. Anna qualified as a Chartered Accountant, later becoming a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Anna is an active member of a number of Advisory Boards including the British American Business International Advisory Board and the World Economic Forum Community of Chairpersons.

She is currently the Sponsoring Chair of the Deloitte UK Ethnicity Council, a fellow and former board member of the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability in the UK, and a board member and trustee for Power2—a UK-based organisation that provides mentoring and skills-based support to young people. Anna is a former member of the B20 Brazil and South Africa International Advisory Caucuses and a former non-executive director of the Confederation of British Industry.

Prior to becoming Deloitte Global Chair, Anna held various leadership and executive roles including serving on the Deloitte Global Board, the Deloitte North & South Europe (NSE) Board, and the Deloitte UK Board. She chaired the Deloitte UK-Swiss Partnership Council and was a member of the Deloitte NSE and Deloitte UK Audit & Assurance Executives. Anna also previously led the Deloitte UK CFO Programme, which focuses on developing the next generation of FTSE100 CFOs.

In her 20 years as a practising audit partner, Anna led audit, due diligence, stock exchange, and regulatory reporting engagements with some of Deloitte’s largest FTSE corporate and international clients. With these clients, Anna also led a range of corporate development engagements and activities including supporting growth, M&A and other transaction-related activities, organisational design, and the development and enhancement of governance and risk management processes.

Anna lives in Oxford (UK) with her husband, has two adult daughters and enjoys running, yoga, and watching live sport.
