Angel Lee | Deloitte

Angel is an associate director in the Deloitte mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax team with 16 years of experience in international tax and M&A tax.

She started her career in Hong Kong in 2004 and was based there for eight years. Angel specialised in China and international tax with a strong focus on real estate and financial services industry.

During 2012 to early 2015, she was based in South Africa and advised multinational companies investing in South Africa and Africa, including market entry strategies, due diligence and structuring.

Angel worked as a tax director for a Big 4 accounting firm in Thailand from 2015 to July 2017 where she led various tax due diligence, international tax structuring and tax modelling projects for private equity firms, property funds and investment banks.

Since returning to South Africa in 2017, she has been involved in various Deloitte Africa M&A tax projects with targets in South Africa, various African countries and Europe. She has worked with companies in various sectors, including real estate industry.

Angel is a FCCA and a General Tax Practitioner (SA). She has completed MSc Accounting & Finance from the University of Manchester (UK) and BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance from the University of Birmingham (UK).
