Food providers have an important role to play and must expand access to affordable, healthy and fortified foods for low-income and vulnerable groups. This can be achieved by adopting transparent nutritional labelling to empower consumer choice, restricting the marketing of unhealthy products and using digital tools to develop personalised, context sensitive nutrition solutions.
The pathway to “wellness for all” rests on embedding equity and local leadership across interventions, fostering cross-industry collaboration and implementing the actionable strategies set out in this report with the hope to build resilient health and food systems.
