Lananh Nguyen is a managing director at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services and the Center for Regulatory Strategy. She leads research in banking and capital markets, investment management, insurance, commercial real estate, and financial regulation. Nguyen was formerly US finance editor at Reuters and covered banks and markets at The New York Times, Bloomberg, Dow Jones Newswires, and The Wall Street Journal. Lananh holds a BA in political science from Tufts University and an MSc in finance from the University of London. She lives in New York and also spent more than a decade in London.

Michelle Canaan is a senior manager and the insurance research leader at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services. As a subject matter specialist for the insurance industry, Michelle produces thoughtware on current and future trends, including strategies and solutions for our clients. She is a frequent contributor to Deloitte Insights, including studies on market strategy, technology and innovation, financial inclusion, and talent.

Patty is a senior manager and chief of staff at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services, Deloitte Services LP, where she leads the strategy and operations functions of the center. She has more than 20 years of experience in operations and research. She is based in New York.

Tim Coy is the research manager for the commercial real estate industry within Deloitte’s Center for Financial Services and is based out of New York City. Prior to Deloitte, he served as a lead researcher for commercial real estate brokerages CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield.

Val Srinivas is the banking and capital markets research leader at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services. He leads the development of Deloitte’s thought leadership initiatives in the industry, coordinating various research efforts and helping differentiate Deloitte in the marketplace. Srinivas has more than 20 years of experience in research and marketing strategy.
