Welcome to the 2025 Impact Report for Deloitte Southeast Asia (SEA).
The past year has been marked by unprecedented change, complexity, and momentum that shows few signs of slowing down. Through it all, we have remained steadfast in our Purpose: to make an impact that matters for our clients, our people and the communities where we live and work.
Deloitte SEA stands ready to help our clients and communities navigate what comes next, leading the way as the largest global local firm for professional services – globally connected yet deeply rooted locally.
This report captures the many ways we translated that commitment into action.
We helped clients stay ahead of developments with strategic insights, whether in artificial intelligence, technology, regulation, trade policies, or beyond. As we navigate the challenges of today, we are exploring new frontiers such as in the growing space sector. We served as the anchor sponsor of the 17th Global Space Technology Convention & Exhibition, Asia’s leading space industry event, and launched a landmark report on the potential for space to transform Southeast Asia’s economies.
We harnessed our global network and alliances to develop breakthrough solutions for our clients’ critical opportunities and challenges.
Drawing on our core strengths in industry expertise and deep sector knowledge, we ensured these solutions were grounded in a thorough understanding of each client’s unique context. We led the post-merger integration for Indonesia’s largest telecommunications merger, while our experts guided a leading multinational conglomerate through the complexities of the OECD’s global tax reform. We also developed climate risk assessments for regional clients while embedding sustainability into their strategies, and streamlined invoicing processes for one of Malaysia’s top agri-business players, helping them meet regulatory requirements while boosting operational efficiency. The Business stories in this report give colour to these examples and more.
At the same time, we strengthened our own capabilities by growing our talent pool to meet client demand in areas such as operational excellence, supply chain optimisation, restructuring, and strategic M&A advisory – better positioning ourselves to support clients as they transform for growth.
Our commitment to lasting impact goes beyond client service. Throughout the year, we continued to cultivate a high-performance and inclusive culture – one that values merit, collaboration and integrity. We invested in developing future-ready skills through initiatives ranging from early-career internships to in-house training and mentoring programmes. Cross-border secondments and leadership development also enabled our talent to hone their technical skills while nurturing human-centred leadership.
Amid a challenging economic environment, we continued to recognise and reward those who exemplify our high-performance culture, with nearly 2,000 promotions across Southeast Asia.
Another standout moment was the launch of Amplify, our programme designed for final-year students and recent graduates from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. This immersive experience equips participants with technical and leadership skills, while embedding community service as a core part of their professional growth. By providing aspiring talent with a career-defining opportunity, Amplify is one way we are opening doors to those seeking valuable experience to kickstart their professional services careers.
We also continued to seek ways to contribute, uplift and lead in the communities where we operate. We remained committed to creating a positive impact through WorldImpact, Deloitte’s global portfolio of initiatives aimed at advancing sustainability, equity and opportunity.
Through WorldClimate, we continued progress towards a low-carbon future and our global greenhouse gas reduction goals. In tandem, we advanced our WorldClass vision to equip the next generation with education, job skills and pathways to meaningful employment.
One of the year’s highlights was our 6000 for 60 fundraising run in Singapore. This fundraising initiative mobilised our people and partners to raise S$700,000 to support SPD’s Early Intervention Centres, enabling essential therapy and learning support for children with developmental needs.
Our achievements in the past year would not have been possible without the unwavering grit, resilience, and dedication of our 14,000-strong workforce across 14 offices in the region.
Looking ahead, we anticipate that the operating environment will remain challenging. Economic uncertainty, geopolitical shifts and technological disruption will continue to test our resilience, but they will also present opportunities for those who can move with speed and purpose.
As captured by our new global tagline, Together makes progress, we believe that the path to a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous future is one we must traverse together. Proudly united by our Purpose and Shared Values, we will continue to work alongside our clients, our people and our community to shape a better tomorrow.
