Celebrating innovation and entrepreuneurship

This year, we celebrate the 25th edition of the Technology Fast 50 program in the Netherlands, where ambition is rewarded, and the impressive growth of the most promising start-ups and scale-ups is celebrated.

The ultimate program for fast-growing tech companies

In the dynamic landscape of Dutch entrepreneurship, Deloitte proudly presents the Technology Fast 50 programme. Being nominated for the Technology Fast 50 competition is a testament to your company's remarkable growth trajectory and offers an opportunity to join a community of fellow Dutch tech entrepreneurs.

These are the categories you can participate in

In our 25th anniversary year, the Technology Fast 50 introduces three new awards. In addition to the Technology Fast 50 and the Rising Star award, we are pleased to introduce the Deep-Tech, Diversity in Leadership and Sustainability Pioneer awards.

The Fast 50 is the main category of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. This award
recognises and ranks the 50 fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands based on revenue growth over the past four years.

To enter the Technology Fast 50 competition, companies must meet the following criteria:

  • Most of your revenue is generated from technology-based products or services
  • Your company is Dutch-owned and headquartered in the Netherlands
  • It was incorporated on or before 31 December 2019
  • You have a base year business turnover of at least €50,000 in 2020 and €1,000,000 in 2023

The Rising Star is an award for the most promising tech start-up in the Netherlands. This accolade goes to the start-up that the jury believes has the potential to rank high in the Technology Fast 50 within a few years. In this category, tech companies are evaluated by a panel of independent experts based on ambition, revenue potential, degree of innovation, and scalability. Rising Stars are considered post-incubators with the potential to grow into successful companies that stand out from their competitors. They are the future winners. In addition to the Rising Star award, there is also the Rising Star 2024 Audience Award.

To participate in the Rising Star competition, companies must meet the following criteria:

  • Most of your revenue is generated from technology-based products or services
  • Your company is Dutch-owned and headquartered in the Netherlands.
  • It was founded after 31 December 2018
  • A base year business turnover of at least €50,000 in 2022 or a total funding amount raised of at least €1,000,000 between 2019 - 2022

In a world driven by technological breakthroughs, deep-tech startups are at the forefront, leveraging cutting-edge scientific advancements to solve complex challenges. To recognize and promote this inventiveness, we are introducing the Deep-tech Innovation Award.

Deep-tech companies require large investments and research time, and scaling up can therefore easily take 8 to 12 years. This is why this award is separate from the regular Technology Fast 50 rankings.

To participate in the Deep Tech competition, companies must meet the following criteria:

  • Develops proprietary hardware technology with proprietary IP
  • A minimum amount of 10 million in funding or 10 million in revenue generated in 2023
  • Have been active as a company for at least 5 years
  • Your company is Dutch-owned and headquartered in the Netherlands

Diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) isn't just ticking a box. Where diversity in a team or group can be measured by taking stock of the visible and invisible aspects of people - such as skin colour, gender, religion or educational background - inclusion is not a static end state or one-time solution: it can fluctuate over time.

At Deloitte, we believe in the power of diverse teams and view inclusion as the catalyst that enables these teams to thrive. Sustained inclusive leadership is key to realizing the benefits of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). These benefits include increased creativity and innovation, better decision-making, improved productivity, enhanced employee well-being, and the ability to address societal pressures on the organization.

That's why we believe organisations that embed DE&I at the core of a company's culture deserve to be celebrated. A panel of DE&I specialists will evaluate the scale-ups that are pioneering in the field of diverse leadership.

The Award for Diverse & Inclusive Leadership can be won in combination with the Technology Fast 50 Award or the Deep-tech Award. You can apply for this award by signing up through the registration form.

Sustainability is a vital aspect of our efforts to create a better future by addressing pressing issues such as climate change. To achieve the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, we need innovative solutions from start-ups and scale-ups. Their innovative approaches result in breakthroughs that drive progress towards achieving these goals.

In recognition of the crucial role these companies and their ideas play, we created the Sustainability Pioneer Award. This award honors scale-ups whose business models significantly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The jury evaluates and selects the scale-up with the most substantial impact based on the SDGs.

The Sustainability Award can be won in combination with the Technology Fast 50 Award or the Deep-Tech Award. You can apply for this award by applying on the registration form.
