8vance finished in second place, with a revenue growth of 5819 per cent. 8vance automates the talent matching process with artificial intelligence to efficiently match employers and talent. Eye Security, which protects small and medium-sized European enterprises from cyber threats and the high costs that follow a cyber attack, has come in third place. Eye Security achieved a revenue growth of 3123 per cent.

"Dutch startups and scale-ups excel in innovation, but face challenges now that internationalisation and financing are under pressure. At a time when AI is quickly gaining ground, these companies are showing resilience and a willingness to embrace new ideas and technologies," says Marieke 't Hart, jury member Rising Star Award and Partner at Deloitte. "The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 celebrates both high-growth companies and emerging companies and provides a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship by bringing together key players in the Dutch tech scene."

In addition to the Technology Fast 50 and Rising Star Awards, new awards were presented during this anniversary edition. The Deep-Tech Award recognises startups that solve complex problems with scientific innovations and proprietary technology, recognising the significant investments and time (8-12 years) required to scale up. Among the nominees for the Fast 50 and Deep-Tech Awards, two additional awards were presented: the Diverse & Inclusive Leadership Award, for companies that embed diversity and inclusion in their culture and the Sustainability Pioneer Award, for scale-ups that make an impactful contribution to sustainability.

Rising Star Award

Companies that have been in business for less than four years and show great growth potential are eligible for the Rising Star Award. The three finalists were judged on ambition, revenue potential, degree of innovation and scalability. The professional jury has awarded the Rising Star Award to QuantWare. QuantWare designs and manufactures quantum processors, enabling organisations to build quantum computers cost-efficiently.

Deep-Tech Award

Deep-tech startups are at the intersection of science and technology, focusing on breakthrough innovations that can have a major impact on industries and society. After a convincing pitch, the jury presented the Deep-Tech Award to Qblox. With their innovative electronics, Qblox contributes to improving the efficiency of quantum computers, an important step towards practical applications of quantum computers.

Diverse & Inclusive Leadership Award and Sustainability Pioneer Award

The Diverse & Inclusive Leadership Award was won by Fastned, among other things, for their commitment to gender diversity, by aiming for 30% female representation in their governing bodies and their ability to actively integrate diverse skills and backgrounds into their decision-making processes. The Sustainability Pioneer Award was presented to Gradyent, which develops advanced digital technologies for optimising heat networks. In doing so, they promote energy efficiency and sustainability and contribute to a future-proof world.
