Viona Borreman

I am an Audit Partner within Audit & Assurance, specialising in real estate, institutional funds and asset management. I lead group and international audits for (listed) real estate companies, institutional investors and asset managers, with end‑to‑end responsibility for valuations, financial reporting, internal controls and governance. As the NL EMEA Lead for Real Estate within the FSI management team, I also oversee the development of our real estate practice in the region and contribute to the Global and EMEA Real Estate Leadership Teams. My personal mission is to create inclusive, innovative and purpose‑led audits that deliver the best outcome for each client, put people at the centre and make a positive contribution to society.

I combine deep technical audit expertise (IFRS, local GAAP, INREV) with practical knowledge of different property asset classes, enabling me to challenge complex valuation and reporting judgements constructively. I help clients and teams navigate increasing complexity across the value chain - from technical reporting requirements to ESG reporting, CSRD (readiness) and ESG data quality. By bringing clarity, structure and consistency to complex audit environments and by applying technology, centralised tooling and AI‑enabled approaches where appropriate, I aim to deliver audits that are robust, efficient and future‑ready.

I am results‑oriented, hands‑on and strongly quality‑driven, with close attention to detail in valuations, reporting, controls and ESG disclosures. At the same time, I am committed to building high‑performing, inclusive teams where people can bring their individuality, talents and passions to the work. I co‑lead the Women & Allies community and actively support initiatives for representation, career development and work–life balance, with particular focus on supporting women who combine career ambitions with motherhood.

I regularly speak at industry and firm events and contribute to knowledge‑sharing and capability building at the intersection of real estate, ESG and audit methodology.
