I am a transaction lawyer in Deloitte’s M&A practice, providing legal advice and support to domestic and international clients on acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and restructurings. I’m happy to work very closely together with our financial advisory and tax colleagues to serve our clients in an integrated manner. I believe that we must understand the client’s broader requirements rather than seeing an isolated request for legal expertise. This also includes identifying opportunities for clients to benefit from services outside of my own field, of which Deloitte can provide almost all. In the end, what matters is helping our clients and being there when they need us. I am loyal and willing to go the extra mile, and I create strong and lasting relationships.
In the beginning of my career, I learned the most by doing things that required more experience than I had at the time, and by following my instincts. As I grew professionally, I realized that this was made possible by other people giving me the space to do so. Now, being responsible for all aspects of a team - from performance to well-being - this has taught me to be an inclusive, non-hierarchical leader who values everyone’s contribution, and gives team members opportunities and space to grow. But the excitement of being challenged professionally and intellectually will never go.
