Marije Staman

I am the Deloitte Private leader and a member of the Executive Committee at Deloitte Netherlands. With over 25 years of experience, I specialise in supporting large and medium-sized family businesses, their shareholders, and private enterprises and the consumer industry.

Throughout my career at Deloitte, I have held several leadership positions that have helped me develop a strong understanding of complex (tax) issues. I was part of the integrated M&A team in the Netherlands until 2014, which gave me valuable insights into mergers and acquisitions, cash repatriations, group restructuring, reorganisations, and management buy-outs.

From 2015 to 2017, I led the Consumer Business sector. This position helped me to understand the broader consumer business context and the challenges Consumer business companies are facing. Nowadays I still have a broad Retail client base which give me the opportunity to constantly enrich my insights in the sector.

From 2017 I have joined the Tax & Legal management team, with a focus on Global Business tax, as well as our talent development initiatives. Since April 2020, I have been leading the Family Business segment, where I have helped navigate the unique challenges that family-run businesses face.

I’m passionate about delivering valuable solutions for my clients and fostering a spirit of teamwork and creativity within our organisation. I believe in long term relationships with my clients which gave the opportunity to learn and navigate together through this complex world. My goal is to develop enduring solutions that not only address today’s challenges but also set businesses up for success in the future.
