Frans is an expert in IPSAS. He is a professor of management accounting at the University of Amsterdam and was a member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board from 2006 to 2011. He serves as an advisor on government reporting to central governments and intergovernmental organizations. Frans van Schaik has written more than 50 articles, primarily on financial reporting by governments and intergovernmental organizations.
