Fabio Luca Crepaldi has over 20 years' experience in risk management for financial institutions. He graduated magna cum laude in Economics and Business Administration in 2002. He spent around 13 years at another Big Four firm before joining Deloitte in 2016, where he now leads the Basel proposition for Deloitte Central Mediterranean, serving a number of leading Italian and European financial institutions. He lectures on risk management modules for various master's programmes, including SDA Bocconi and MIB Trieste.
Throughout his career, Fabio has worked on a range of regulatory and risk-management issues, with a particular focus on credit risk and credit operations. Among other areas, he has developed strong expertise in regulatory requirements, risk governance and risk modelling—particularly credit risk models, internal rating systems and their integration into credit processes. He has also gained significant experience in related data governance and IT requirements.
