  • In 2024, the Top 100 GPoC recorded aggregate revenue of USD 1.978 trillion in 2024, down 1% year‑on‑year (0.8% up in local currency). Combined EBIT margin of the Top 30 fell to 5.5%; net debt rose 12.3% to USD 398.9 billion.
  • The global construction sector shows remarkable resilience and is expected to grow from USD 11.4 trillion in 2024 to USD 16.1 trillion in 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approx. 5.5%.
  • The adoption of smart construction technologies, including Building Information Modelling (BIM) and AI-driven project management tools, is helping to improve efficiency and reduce costs across the industry. Smart construction has gone from experimental to essential and is set to impact the way projects are executed, from tendering and bidding to construction and operation and maintenance.
  • European construction companies lead in internationalisation, with 66% of their turnover generated outside their domestic markets, emphasizing strategic expansion into emerging regions.
